The answer for the question is yes!!!!Now I'm gonna deal with how it could have been averted...Well you know now a days its become very fashionable for many caste leaders clamoring for Backward and SC/ST status...The reason is simple..They can enjoy more benefits from being given priority in education and government jobs(Its only a matter of time before reservation seeps into private sector..You know, our government won't leave this matter until its settled for good)to slash in prices of almost anything..So its no wonder more and more people crave the backward status..So thats what has been happening in Gujarat with Gujjar community.Well we cannot blame them too...Its the BJP who in their manifesto declared giving ST status to this particular community as a poll promise..They should have thought that people can easily be misled...But it turned otherwise..They played with their emotions and in turn they began to sow seeds of unrest in Rajasthan..Its been(This unrest)going on for a while now..So even a kid could have anticipated the violence which could erupt...The state intelligence having not speculated it has become a dysfunctional body..So when they turned out in large numbers to press their demands, some hooligans among them used this opportunity to vent their ire over state run buses and innocent bystanders..I don't deny it that its a provoking incident...But what the police should have done is disperse the mobs with tear gas or water cannon or any other thing at their disposal..They should not have resorted to this extreme step..Even then they have gone beyond their powers..They should have shot down the waist and not above it....Surely,a person disabled by a shot is way better than his life snuffed out..I don't justify it...Atleast they could have thought this...Well let bygones be bygones..From now on,the police should employ the utmost caution while dealing with such situations...And the worst part is,none from the administration has gone there till now to console them...Maybe they are worried for their safety...
